REwind Review
A message from Neill Quinton, Programmer (Learning and Participation), Southbank Centre:
I wanted to write on behalf of everyone at Southbank Centre to pass on our immense thanks to all the singers from Combe Bank for their work on REwind. We really appreciate how much work and commitment was undertaken on the part of everyone involved, and that this was perhaps a steeper learning curve than many similar choral experiences in the past! Everyone should be immensely proud of what was achieved on the night of the concert, in expressing the intent and power of the work in a way that clearly blew the audience away. Amongst the many comments we have so far received here was one from one of the project's executive producers who has seen every performance of Rewind internationally and never experienced it realised so well as at the RFH last Thursday night.
On a personal note, it was deeply inspiring to be singing in the choir amongst you all and have played a small part in enabling the choir's experience. It really is what makes this job worthwhile despite all the organisational headaches and artist tantrums!
With very best wishes,
Neill
