Combe Bank Choral Society is usually directed by Dr Helen Isom, Director of Music at Combe Bank School.
Under her maiden name, Helen Burrows, she is well known as an expert in liturgical choral repertoire and has edited several collections of music for the Royal School of Church Music and Oxford University Press. In addition to her work at Combe Bank she is a Reader and Advisor to Oxford University Press, Examinations Secretary for the Guild of Church Musicians, and Director of Music at St George’s RAF Chapel of Remembrance, Biggin Hill. She also regularly contributes to the review columns of the Church Times and is the Honorary Local Representative of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music for the Sevenoaks area.
